Our Mission and Vision

Our Mission is to collectively inspire every child in every classroom every day. Our vision is a thriving school experience where the development of the whole child is fostered through engaging academics and outdoor educational experiences.

At Chester Elementary School, we are committed to practices that engage students academically and promote student achievement. We believe in building a Culture of Reading among our students and differentiating our teaching so that all students will be successful. We are strongly committed to our Outdoor Education program and believe in the teaching our students the value of stewardship and conservation which will allow the beautiful area that we live in to thrive for generations to come.

We are committed to practices that foster the development of the whole child including student centered activities that include voice and choice. Restorative practices and community circles are central to our interactions with our students and our peers. We believe highly that we all children are welcomed each day through our front door with a warm, welcoming greeting that reminds them they are part of a school family

Our staff is also committed to providing the most positive learning environment possible with a professional school climate. We encourage all of our students and staff to Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. In our classrooms, and among ourselves, we believe in collaborating and having open and constructive communication. We are all dedicated to making Chester Elementary School the best place for each child in our community.
